Expansive thinking
MUSE is for concepts that deserve more room, more language, and more nuance — the ideas with scale, artistic ambition, and the capacity to become memorable.
About MUSE
MUSE is the creative consulting practice of Kira Morison-McNeil — a multidisciplinary artist and writer whose work is shaped by language, fine art, publishing, theatre, and a devotion to ideas with emotional depth, aesthetic intelligence, and cultural weight.
The story
I created MUSE because I understand what it means to carry ideas that feel vivid, expansive, and difficult to explain to people who only value practicality. Some ideas become books. Some become essays, paintings, newsletters, scenes, scripts, or entire aesthetic worlds. Very often, what a creative person needs is not less imagination — but better stewardship.
My own life moves across disciplines. I have written two books. I love writing and publishing on Substack. I paint. I love music, literature, and fine art. I am also the copywriter for a local magazine in Calgary, and I am currently working on a play to be submitted to the Playwright Society.
All of that informs how I work with clients. My approach is intuitive, discerning, and deeply attentive to voice. I care about structure, yes — but equally about atmosphere, tone, and emotional precision. MUSE is where creative instinct meets refinement, clear feedback, and meaningful momentum.
What guides the work
MUSE is for concepts that deserve more room, more language, and more nuance — the ideas with scale, artistic ambition, and the capacity to become memorable.
The purpose of feedback is not to flatten your work into something generic. It is to sharpen it, elevate it, and help it arrive more clearly in its own voice.
Some creatives need structure. Some need momentum. Some need a trusted eye who can recognise the shape of the work before it is fully visible. MUSE is built to offer all three.
“I love helping people find their creative path and bring their ideas to life.”
